The 4-day visit will bring together capabilities, ideas and funding options, to address current and future challenges in the advanced manufacturing sector.

Canada offers a dynamic and innovative manufacturing sector. In 2016 it was responsible for 32% ($6.6 billion) of all business enterprise R&D investment. Manufacturing accounts for approximately $174 billion of Canadian GDP and employs over 1.7 million people (according to the Government of Canada).

The visit will feature presentations from local and national agencies, pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings with Canadian businesses.  There will also be sessions on funding for UK-Canada collaboration under the Eureka Eurostars programme and site visits to leading manufacturers in the provinces of Ontario and Manitoba.
