Further, the company manufactures and distributes machinery for introducing new revolutionary methods for high yield and seed quality, and reduction of operational costs. Particularly, the Cypriot company manufactured the prototype of a potato planting machine. Through on-site experiments, it is evidence that this machine can reduce the crop production costs by 50%. Through one pass the machine can do the following operations: open the farrow, plant the potato seed, set up the fertilizer, set up the granular chemical for nematodes, spray special chemical for both the seed potato and the soil, close the farrow in shape, and final the ironing top of the rigger. Due to potato planting methodology of this machine, crop producers can achieve full utilization of the soil area resulting in an increase of the yield output product by 50% (5 hectares can produce 500 tons of potatoes instead of 10 hectares using a conventional potato planting machines. Also, due to potato planting methodology of this machine, the potato plants receive better sun light and air circulation. The produced potatoes, depending on the variety, can be of uniform controllable size and the machine system enables the potato to mature earlier 10-15 days. Further, the company manufactured the prototype of a potato harvester machine. Through on-site experiments, this machine can reduce the crop production costs by 30%. The potato harvester machine can do the following operations through one pass: separation of potatoes from plants, potatoes selection conveyor and packing them into bin boxes of 400 kg or 50 kg each container. Further, both machines (potato planting and harvester machines) are already tested, very functional, practical as well as simple to operate. There is wide spare parts availability and they can reduce crop operation costs by 30-50% in contrast with the conventional potatoes planting/harvesting machines. The company's machinery and patents produced contribute to the improvement and the development of agro-business in Cyprus.
