A Brussels SME that offers a flexi thin solar film concept is interested in joining a consortium to develop a project proposal under the H2020 call LC-SC3-RES9-2020 ‘Next generation of thin-film photovoltaic technologies’. Deadline: 11 December 2019. The Brussels SME is specialized in offering EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) services for the installation of flexible thin solar films and is looking to develop a business case and exploitation strategy for this technology.
Research partners that could measure and monitor the financial and environmental impact of thin film devices and partners that are interested in applying the technology on the roofs of their buildings (industrial /heritage) and/or on vehicles (private or public transport operators).
The Brussels-based company is a young SME (≥10) eager to join an established H2020 consortium to further test their technology in a variety of different settings and countries for the topic LC-SC3-RES9-2020 ‘Next generation of thin-film photovoltaic technologies’. It is an Innovation Action and the deadline is 11 December 2019. The proposed flexible thin solar film solution is based upon an innovative copper indium gallium selenide solar cells technology (CIGS) where low-weight flexible modules can be placed on smooth surfaces / rooftops (0-90 degrees slope) with a weak structure or rooftops that are difficult to access for installation. Due to the flexibility of the material the modules can be installed on different types of buildings (industrial/public buildings/heritage) and temporary infrastructures (such as tents/shelters) but also on vehicles (buses, barges, trains, refrigerated trucks) and even on wind turbine towers. The proposed technology has already been tested in different settings and countries and reaches TRL 4-5. Type of partners sought are research partners that could measure and monitor the financial and environmental impact of thin film devices and partners that are interested in applying the technology on the roofs of their buildings (industrial, public and /or heritage) and/or on vehicles (private or public transport operators).
