Method to obtain useful data for the screening and diagnosis of osteoporosis

Summary

A Spanish research group of the public health system has developed a method for screening, diagnosis, prognosis and/or monitoring osteoporosis. The method consists in a drug that allows obtaining useful data with more efficacy than current drugs. A license agreement or a technical cooperation agreement is sought.

Partner sought

The research group aims to formalize a technology transfer process with public or private entities interested in the implementation of the solution, through a license agreement. If there are some entities, such as R&D centres, technology centres or specialized companies, interested in collaborating and developing further aspects of the solution, a technical cooperation agreement could be envisaged. They already sell the plate in Spain and now they want to expand abroad.

Description

Osteoporosis consists in a disorder in which the bones become increasingly porous, brittle, and subject to fracture, owing to loss of calcium and other mineral components, sometimes resulting in pain, decreased height, and skeletal deformities Current drugs have a limited efficacy and an adverse effect. Studies have shown the evidence of the relationship between intestinal hormones and bone health. The variation in food intake is associated with significant changes in bone markers reabsorption, being intestinal and pancreatic peptides the most important effectors of the acute response that occurs in bone metabolism regard to food intake. The Spanish research group has developed a drug to obtain useful data for the screening, diagnosis, prognosis and/or monitoring osteoporosis. The research group is looking for the following collaboration: -License agreement: framework of authorizing the interested parties to use the method. -Technical cooperation agreement: to collaborate with other research teams, companies or foundations.

Advantages and innovations

-The elaboration of a drug for the prevention, relief, improvement and treatment of osteoporosis. -Non-invasive Clinical Trials have been carried out in 102 patients. -The methodology has already been used in other diseases like Diabetes mellitus. -In addition, it helps to lose weight, another advantage in osteoporosis disease.

Our role is to review and collate the most suitable submissions, and then send them to the client who posted the opportunity. We consult with you, and the client, to make the process professional and easy.

These are live opportunities. Your registration of interest on the site is just like a professional approach to a business at a networking event. To stand the best chance of success, make your submission really sing. Sell why the client who posted the opportunity should work with you. Excite them. Ask questions. Try and avoid copy and pasting words from elsewhere.

Once the client has chosen their partner, we'll introduce them over email and keep in touch with both parties to see how it's going. Sometimes things progress quickly. Sometimes because of changing priorities for either party, things progress slowly, but you never know - your next big business break could start right here.
