Additive manufacturing with raw material custom
The company, based in the southern Italy, operates on mission critical application and engineering activities. In particular, operating in the additive manufacturing, they developed a system to custom the raw materials used to create any objects. The company is looking for a services agreement.
The company is looking for partners, especially companies or industries, that work in automotive, aviation, marine, railway, defence and space field, interested to receive this specific technologial service.
Since 2013, the Italian company works in the fields of mission critical application and engineering activity with high technological content, for critical applications in the field of mechanics and electronics. The activities range across in different sectors such as automotive, aviation, marine, railway, defence and space. And this multiplicity of branches has been the origin to collaborate with Italian and abroad universities and research centres. Anyway the core business is the materials testing fixtures. Structural engineering sector has continuously looking for materials that exhibit low densities and at the same time good strength, good stiffness, good abrasion behaviour and impact, and are not easily susceptible to corrosion. The knowledge of the mechanical and physical characteristics of a material is the first step for a correct evaluation of the performance of the exercise component. This continuously research of new materials has been the key to develop a new system to custom raw materials in the additive manufacturing. This represents the big difference between this process and the standard one. Thus, through the novel system, customers can produce objects with complex shapes and geometries, utilizing materials obtained from the mixing of elemental powders, in order to improve specific material parameters of the material. The company is seeking for partners to sign a services agreement, in order to provide its specific technological innovation.
Advantages and innovations
Additive manufacturing is a technology, applicable to various industrial sectors, which allows the realization of objects, also complex, such as parts, components, assemblies, semi-finished or finished products. This technology is quite common, but competirors cannot customize materials. Utilizing at the same time the advanced mixing of metal powders (to ensure the homogenization of distinct metals in the particulate state) and the additive layer manufacturing techniques, it is possible to obtain a crystalline grain diffusion which allows the formation of a non-commercial metallic compound. So, the advantages are the following: • It is possible to create powders in a combination of different materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, chopper, in order to give a combination of high resistance, lightness and good conductivity materials. Then, the powder can be used in additive manufacturing technology on in any coating technology. • Reduce the cost of making variations to a basic model. This implies that additive manufacturing is poorly labelled on productions of a very large series but that it can open up new possibilities for "mass customization".

- Tell us about yourself
- We’ll discuss with you
- We put the right partners in touch
EEN help you find the right partner, rather than you going it alone.
Our role is to review and collate the most suitable submissions, and then send them to the client who posted the opportunity. We consult with you, and the client, to make the process professional and easy.
These are live opportunities. Your registration of interest on the site is just like a professional approach to a business at a networking event. To stand the best chance of success, make your submission really sing. Sell why the client who posted the opportunity should work with you. Excite them. Ask questions. Try and avoid copy and pasting words from elsewhere.
Once the client has chosen their partner, we'll introduce them over email and keep in touch with both parties to see how it's going. Sometimes things progress quickly. Sometimes because of changing priorities for either party, things progress slowly, but you never know - your next big business break could start right here.
