Description

A South Korean research institute has developed a manufacturing method capable of mass production of pressure sensing cells. The technology is capable of mass production using SUS* (see below) sheet material of the same type as the wafer used in a general semiconductor process by providing a core-cell process that does not require the use of complex and highly precise fixtures. The mass production of high yields is achieved while the process is simplified - Market competitiveness is secured both in Japan and overseas through the optimization of a plate-type process and the development of bonding technology utilizing metal brazing. - The yield is 5 times more than a traditional cap-core cell. For example, 6 inches of wafer produce 1,700 cells in comparison to a cap type (350 pieces. * SUS: Steel Use Stainless / stainless steel certified standard JIS G 4303 The company is open to various types of collaboration. The technology is ready to be adapted for industry and commercialization. The team is looking for potential partners for a commercial agreement with technical assistance, license agreement, and/or research cooperation agreement.
