A Korean AR company was established in year 2010 and is specialized in developing and providing AR platform, service and solution. As smart factory leads 4th Industrial Revolution, remote support service which is one of the core technologies to operate smart factory is becoming necessary. For efficient remote support, a Korean company has developed AR based video call technology which allows an expert to provide a direct support to the trainee by drawing instruction on the device for real-time communication. When the technology is applied on smart glasses, a worker can follow instruction with free hands. As the drawing is shown on the worker’s device in real time, working time is shortened and the expert can correct the error of the worker in real-time which would lessen operation fault. AR drawing service is provided though the AR technology. This Korean company has commercialized AR SDK(Software Development Kit) and is now selling at the global market. - In the conventional remote support service, captured image on the display was used for drawing when needed. After finished drawing, image was captured again and sent to the user.
